Notice and Comment on GAO Personnel Management System Orders

31 U.S.C. § 732(a) affords GAO employees the right to comment on orders regarding the GAO personnel management system before the orders can be implemented.  Thus, GAO may not enact a rule or regulation that affects GAO’s personnel management system unless GAO provides notice and an opportunity for public comment.

The Personnel Appeals Board Office of General Counsel (PAB/OGC) reviews each proposed GAO personnel management system order to determine whether it complies with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.

If you are a GAO employee, PAB/OGC is also interested in your thoughts and opinions on currently posted proposed GAO orders regarding the personnel management system.  If you would like to share your thoughts on any proposed order, please e-mail us at: pabogc@gao.gov.  You may also contact us at (202) 512-7507.

Please note that you must still provide your comments directly to GAO to ensure that GAO notes your specific comments on a proposed order.
